We really like Giuseppi's pizza! Leaving the resort, go to the left and Giuseppi's is in the same shopping center as the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store, TJ Maxx and Fuddruckers (we like them too!)
To all our guests for 2011, thank you so very much for choosing to make our little piece of paradise your home, if only for a short time. We hope you'll love it so much, you'll want to come back again! Make some wonderful memories during your 2011 stay!
To all our past guests, we thank you too! We have been very blessed to have such great people as our guests. You've all taken great care of it and we appreciate it so very much. You have reinforced our desire to make sure OUR guests have the very BEST accomodations we can provide. We want all of you back again!
And finally and most importantly, we thank God for his many blessings in our lives and the lives of our family. HE is our anchor when we need to be grounded..... our buoy that keeps us afloat....... our lighthouse that shows us the way...... our lifejacket when we're too tired to tread the water and most of all - HE is our Saviour!
Located right downstairs from our villa, the Resort's own Island Deli & Grill is our favorite for burgers, wraps, subs, chicken fingers, fried mushrooms, loaded bacon & cheese fries, cheesesticks...the list goes on. Priced so reasonably you'll think they forgot to charge you for something! Make sure to tell Dana and Ofer (the owners) that the Herring's sent you!
Absolutely one of our favorite seafood restaurants on the island! Get there before 4pm to take advantage of their lunch special savings - huge savings yet plenty of food. Leaving the resort, turn right and Crazy Crab is on the left just before you get to the bridge. I bet you'll make it to the crab more than once during your stay
Each evening, under the old oak tree in Harbour Town, you'll be entertained with Gregg's summer concerts. It's total family fun with special antics for the kids... games, interviews, sing-a-longs and great entertainment. Most families come night after night because they know the show is always different, always exciting.
It all starts before dark, when people gather around... Don't be surprised if you see some familiar faces up there on stage with Gregg, as he plays all the familiar tunes -- and you sing along.. Concerts are Free but there is a $5 fee to enter the SeaPines gate.
Shannon Tanner has been entertaining children and families in Hilton Head, South Carolina for more than two decades! Join Shannon and friends as they weave their way through the music and magic of summertime in Hilton Head. Enjoy songs and silliness from his concert at Shelter Cove Harbor or take a boat trip looking for dolphin and other low country critters. Children of ALL ages will love Shannon's shows.
On Tuesday nights and the Fourth of July, you will definitely want to see the fireworks display at Shelter Cove Harbour . Shelter Cove is just maybe a mile down 278 (go left from the resort - Shelter Cove is on the right). BUT WAIT!!!! you don't need to GO to Shelter Cove to see them. In fact, you don't even need to leave our resort! You can have a front row seat right at our beach! Our resort is the only oceanside resort on the island that you can see the fireworks from and believe me, they are spectacular! You can view them along our boardwalk too but the best seat in the house (or on the beach I should say) is to go down to our beach and turn to the left. Walk up the beach towards the Folly (where the rocks are) until you have a clear view of the rooftops of the Hilton Head Resort buildings . Just above the rooftops is where you will see the fireworks! ( Don't forget to take the beach chairs and flashlight for the walk back.)
Enjoy putt-putt golf for the whole family at this Pirate themed course. Located on Highway 278. 843-686-4001
Every evening (Sunday thru Friday), under the Liberty Oak Tree in Harbourtown, young and old will be entertained with Gregg’s summer concerts. For over 25 years, Gregg has entertained the young and young at heart with his silly games, sing-a-longs and just some great fun stuff. The show is different each night. Call (843) 671-3590 for more information.
Starting around the end of March and running thru the summer , Jinny (the owner of the cafe) invites children of all ages to a "kid’s night out" on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:45 (parent’s optional). Offering a hands-on pottery painting experience for the munchkins, they’ll have pizza, dessert and loads of fun creating their very own hand painted pottery. When I asked what the age requirements were, Jinny said there were none – but only asked that the kiddos be potty trained and not prone to "separation anxiety" (probably a plus for the parents too but by mid-week, a couple hours with out the munchkins might be a welcome reprieve.) The cost for this fun , creative 2 hour pottery painting experience is only $35 per child and the pottery masterpiece the child paints can be picked up on Friday – just in time before your week ends. The Art Caf’e is located in Coligny Plaza. Call Jinny at 843-785-5525 for more info.
